Known for her performances as Mac in Chicken Run 1 and 2, Lynn takes the audience through a range of stories – from the dangers of too many cats to how it can often be tricky to tell Los Angeles and Grangemouth apart.

It’s brilliant to be back in Edinburgh for 2023 and we’re so excited to open the doors to another incredible Underbelly programme. Despite the contractual theme present in the piece, it does not feel like enough to have the two main characters, one of whom is the guileless, overwhelmed Sam, who is rushing around trying to appease and shoo away an unwanted elephant and the other who is unpleasant, manipulative and crosses many boundaries that could have brought an important lesson, but never does. There are some fun set pieces and there’s a neat adaptability about Hu’s set, which transforms from a zoo to an aeroplane and home again with just a few subtle shifts.Next was Katherine and Pierre dancing, followed by Cam Gavinski delivering an under pressure stand-up routine with a bomb stuck to his head, before comedy hypnotist Matt Hale rounded off another great showcase of what the Fringe is all about. Familiar Fringe faces The Lady Boys of Bangkok bring their Party Queens Tour 2023 to the Theatre Big Top. Spoken word and performance artist Subira Joy explores their experiences being targeted by the police as a Black, queer and trans person' in Kill the Cop Inside Your Head at Summerhall. Yet the show ends on a throwaway note – something about reading the small print (you had to be there, I guess). There follows a series of bossy, bulldozing and bullying from the Elephant as Sam is made to run around playing servant to the grumpy Nelly and we are drawn to an ever more frustrating conclusion which leaves us, the audience with little resolution.

At Hill Street Theatre, Seattle comedian Andrew Frank delivers Ecstatic Blasphemy, 'a hilarious set about growing up as a pastor's kid, finding queer joy beyond fundamentalist Christianity, and performing subversive stand-up throughout the Bible Belt'. Lemon Jelly's Fred Deakin'hosts an immersive joyride through his Clubland adventures' in Club Life at Summerhall. In conclusion, "The Slightly Annoying Elephant" by David Walliams is an okay read with some humorous moments and a unique premise. My only issue with this book is that the elephant doesn't learn about the consequences of his actions, and so if I was to do this book with young children I would make it clear that the elephant is in the wrong. The Abu Dhabi Dramatic Society presents 'an original bunch of jokes and sketches based on real-life scenarios' in On The Tiles at C venues. An(dre)a Spisto: El Dizzy Beast is an Assembly show about 'a queer, autistic, latinx caterpillar on the edge'.
