MORE : Rebekah Vardy believes she’s suffering from PTSD and was hospitalised twice for mental health amid Coleen Rooney legal battle I really wanted to enjoy this much more than I did but I am afraid it wasn't as good as I expected. Not as funny as I thought it would be. The youngest of ten children from a poor family in Dublin, his father died when he was just nine years old. Leaving school at the mere 12 years of age, Brendan began what would become a long and varied working life; he would go on to be a waiter, a publican, a window cleaner and a publisher amongst other jobs. I mean, when I start to drive how will I be able to tell traffic lights?' Until reading this, I had no idea that next door neighbour Winnie is O'Carroll's real life sister. Mind blown. This is Brendan's story in his own words of his career going from a teenager to how Mrs Brown's boys came about. Whilst it is interesting, I expected more comedy and there were lots of parts of this book that were boring, unfortunately for me. Before he became the nation's favourite Mammy, Brendan O'Carroll was known, simply as Brendan. He's the youngest of eleven children from a poor family in Dublin, he's a boy whose father died when he was just nine years old; he's someone whose hope and determination meant he never gave up. Throughout the tough moments, Brendan always had humour and a good story to tell alongside the ever-guiding inspiration of his own Mammy, a formidable figure who became Ireland's first female Labour MP, all whilst raising eleven children by herself. His hope and determination meant he never gave up, and eventually a chance opportunity to perform stand-up would pave the way for the TV show that would become 'Mrs. Brown's Boys'.

Waking up with a start, Agnes then asks what the book will be called and suddenly seems a lot more interested in it when she finds out it will be titled ‘Call Me Mrs Brown’. From the kid that grew up in Finglas, Dublin to the star we know today, Brendan shares the many threads of his life - from the toughest moments to being guided by his inspirational mother who became Ireland's first female Labour MP. What a brilliant book. It was so funny and really well written. I read this on holiday and never stopped laughing. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

My only criticism is that where it finished. I wanted to know more. But I guess, there's another book in the dealio. Loved CALL ME MRS. BROWN though, even though I think a lot of fans may come away feeling a tad short-changed. Another source added: ‘This is something that everyone wants to happen, and we are working out the schedule for 2022/23’.

The actor and comedian, 66, has announced his first book, Call Me Mrs Brown, which will be released in October with a special skit as Agnes. Brendan O'Carroll is most widely known as Mrs Brown, the nation's favourite Mammy from Mrs's Brown's Boys. But before he shot to fame as the elderly lady, he was known simply as Brendan. The youngest of ten children from a poor family in Dublin, Brendan left school at the mere age of 12 to begin what would become a long and varied working life. He would go on to be a waiter, a publican, a window cleaner and a publisher amongst other jobs. Told with warmth, humour, a touch of mischievousness - and more than a few coincidences - this is the fascinating story of the one and only, Brendan O'Carroll. She grew up in Southeast Texas and still considers Texas home, but has recently lived in Maine and Virginia. Her interests have changed, but her love for her characters and her imaginary world she invented for them has not subsided. Brendan O’Carroll has revealed he is releasing his first autobiography charting his time on Mrs Brown’s Boys and beyond. Just like the show so brilliantly expresses, Brendan's first autobiography, the real story behind the man who became Mrs Brown, combines uplifting heart, warmth and hilarity.

Retailers:

For six years, she has been unable to write anything new or work on previous novels. The exhausting work and time to promote her books was simply out of the question. But as life surely changes, so has Brendan Carroll's (aka Brenda Carol Eaves) life. With that in mind, she has decided to rework her entire book portfolio and release it again with new titles, new covers and much more critical edits than ever before. With more time on her hands after retirement and several close family members' deaths, she now has the luxury to immerse herself into her beloved writing hobby. In retrospect, she is sad to realize that her books were never really edited or properly marketed. Even though she still cannot afford professional help, what she has learned from trial and error and self-study has improved her ability to write better books immensely. Really enjoyed all the Mrs Browns books. This was eye opening and gave a good insight to the personal life of the author and actor. Brendan O'Carroll is commonly known as Mrs. Brown, his alter ego that stars in Mrs. Brown's Boys. This tell all book is funny, interesting and shows Carroll is not a man that gives up easily. He's been up and down both money and career endeavors, but he always believe in himself, worked hard and made his way to the top.
