This book is the authors first one. In it, he writes about his pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Despite the fact that the journey was filled with many unpleasant things ( injuries, exhaustion , bad weather conditions and so on...), in the end it turned out to be a priceless life experience for Paulo. Not to mention everything he learned from his guide Petrus, who accompanied him along the way. About seven months ago, my mother and I took on the Camino de Santiago from Sarria, Spain, to Santiago de Compostela. It was one of my favorite memories of last year, and it required much more out of us than we had planned in a number of ways. As many know, the Camino de Santiago isn’t just a hiking trail, but it’s also been an important pilgrimage for centuries. It has served as a spiritual and personal journey for many, so I was excited to dive into The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho. The Pilgrimage book review Much of the story is hidden within allegory, so if you aren’t willing to deal with Coelho’s magical realism, this can be a difficult book to get through. For me, it served as an interesting companion to my own trip down the Camino—I found myself a much stronger person (physically and emotionally) than I realized I was. There were some truly eerie moments on my walk that I couldn’t really explain, which I think attests to Coelho’s work and the magic of the Camino. I didn’t have a guide the way Coelho did, but I found that walking with my mother caused me to re-think where I was in my life and the role we played in each other’s. My mother had served as a guide all my life, but in the end, I finished my walk alone. the Strange Road to San Tiago and everything that happens on it, is nothing but a mirror of each and everyone's life journey! the book is a reminder that life is brilliant and that we are capable of so much more than we beleive we are... it is the limiting beleifs that we have that stop us from becomimg who we are supposed to be..

Okay, fine, I don’t know how to write a good book or how to live my life either, but I just know this one wasn’t it for me. Its not that I find anything wrong with these messages. They are important, but must be balanced with responsibility. In my experience, 'following your dreams' (or personal legend) is not the only way toward wisdom and strength. Is the person who struggles to put food on the table every day for his or her family, consciously realizing that he or she may not be following his or her 'personal legend' any less heroic than some traveler who leaves everything and everyone he or she is responsible for to go on a spiritual quest? Coelho comes close to labeling such people, as losers in life, which I find completely off the mark as some of these people have the most to offer in terms of wisdom. When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.” A spiritual journey of self-discovery and personal growth along the ancient Way of St James, a christian pilgrimage route that was famous through all Middle Age, and still persists to this day. I see why people enjoy it and it is admittedly pretty and sweet and uplifting. It’s a good vibe to be in. It didn’t do much for me, but that’s alright too. The Pilgrimage paved the way to Paulo Coehlo's international bestselling novel The Alchemist. In many ways, these two volumes are companions—to truly comprehend one, you must read the other.

The Pilgrimage - Taliah Aneesah 2 Book Summary: The Pilgrimage - Taliah Aneesah 2

I regularly get friend requests based solely on this review and likes and comments are added almost daily.Sai has one ambition and that is to find a way to manifest the subtle explosion of life within her. Little did she know that her crush on music and the English language during her school days would eventually blossom into a full-blown love affair. Albeit an MBA in marketing, she also wishes to be recognised for her creative expression. She has, hence, decided to groom herself as a writer, singer, music composer and lyricist. If you think she appears calm and composed, she has got you fooled. Paulo Coelho is a Brazilian author. When Coelho was 38 years old, he had a spiritual awakening in Spain and wrote about it in his first book, The Pilgrimage. It was his second book, The Alchemist, which made him famous. He’s sold 35 million copies and now writes about one book every two years. Early Life When I do travel to Italy (once, or three times), my life and my path will always provide me with enough omens. That is interesting, and I do not know why I all of a sudden associate this with the sheepish followers in Life Of Brian, who found omens in sandals.
