About this deal

Traditionally, you would do this with a chamois leather or a microfibre cloth but the issue here is that on a motorcycle, much more so than say a car, there are stacks of nooks and crannies where water can lurk and at best, leave marks and worst, begin attacking the bike’s finishes.

This is a really well-made, powerful motorcycle dryer - it has made quick work of a thoroughly wet Triumph Tiger 1200 XCA every time I have washed it since receiving the dryer, and I am well impressed. With regard to compressors, has anyone ever tried to adapt a small/no receiver type to collect in an old gas bottle or something? Drying a bike once you have washed it, so you can carry on to the next stage whether that’s polishing, waxing, spraying with anti-corrosion products or simply putting it away, is essential. Blasting the brakes, wheel hubs or spokes of a bike using spoked wheels would all be near-on impossible with a cloth.Saves a load of time, gets rid of all the water from the nooks and crannies, use it for the car as well! But 99% of the time I use a spray of GT85 to ‘wet’ the dirt/muck on the bike and then wipe it off with clean rag/kitchen roll, no water needed and it leaves a coat of protective PTFE over all the surfaces that need protecting. THE MD 1900+ BRÜHL DRYER IS SIMILAR TO THE MD1400, BUT WITH THE ADDED BENEFIT OF AN ADDITIONAL 500W HEAT ELEMENT, WHICH HEATS UP THE AIR AS IT IS BLASTED THROUGH THE TURBINE. It is the essential tool to have in your garage to take care of your vehicle and keep it in perfect condition for years avoiding the appearance of any corrosion. Also because I thought it might be easier to sell on if I didn’t find it useful - told you I was unconvinced!

It's not noisy in itself but I wear plugs (or listen to music) as when you go over the bike the noise generated is a little unpleasant for me, rather like the over-loud hand dryers in WCs! Fantastic bit of kit for drying motorcycles after cleaning - removes excess hidden water very easily which helps to reduce the risk of corrosion and issue with electrical contacts.

For that kind of money, I came to the conclusion that I would stick with a chamois leather or a microfibre cloth. And without the need for chamois leathers or other water-absorbing cloths, there is less risk of inadvertently scratching or scuffing the bike. If you have selected Pay in 30 days, you’ll have 30 days to pay Klarna, and you will get a friendly reminder before payment is due. This is why a good motorcycle dryer is the way forward; it will blow any water out of the deepest recesses to ensure it doesn’t settle anywhere and cause rust or corrosion. Like a lot of people, I used to just run my bike to dry out the hidden areas, but this just causes the water to evaporate, then the steam can collect in hidden connectors, where it condenses again.
