I can see myself wearing this any time from spring to autumn, day or night, except on hot summer days. Unfortunately, it is my least favorite of the Bentley lineup, and at the end of the day, I just don't love it. my year of fragrances, having bought more frags in one year than over all my years combined so far, and I am not young any more. It still has the Bentley DNA but after dry-down, woody sillage was moderate as was projection but violet still emerged above all else to linger on.

Performance was a little disappointing unfortunately, lasted about 5-6 hours on skin with decent projection for the first 90 mins or so (I am not going nose blind to it).There is nothing ground breaking here or unique, but if you want a nice fresh blue fragrance, this is for you. It reminds me of YSL Homme Libre in the beginning with a burst of violet and an earthy undertone that lasts for a decent amount of time actually before switching to Givenchy Gentleman Only with a pinch of Bleu de Chanel.

Where some people compare to Dylan Blue and Drakkar or Aventus, I was hoping for something similar but no. I currently own BOTH(this one and the Intense)in my collection and although I personally prefer the Intense a lot of the times over this one. A contemporary burst of freshness makes an immediate impact, with the invigorating cocktail of citrus, delicious fruity pineapple and the wonderful herbaceous aroma of violet leaves immediately transporting you into fresh fields of blue. With a peppery opening but not very heavy, due to the Violet n then the fruity with the sweetness stays in the mid and then very tiny little sweetness left with the stable Violet and pepper all the way to the dry down. There are so many notes here, but it will be very hard for you to pick out any one in particular - they've been blended well.My expectations were quite high given the praise by a couple of “key” reviewers for me, but it easily surpassed them, and I think Bentley and Firmenich couldn’t really do better than this. As an inoffensive, but solid, daily masculine fragrance, you could definitely do a lot worse than this.
