This product carries a full 3 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. High pressure hoses are covered only for 3 months and are easy damaged by being trodden on or driven over. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design. The LCD display, along with the bluetooth connectivity, is another feature that Karcher has put into place to make this pressure washer easy to use. The fact that you can control pressure using the two buttons on the trigger gun is definitely handy, with the LCD screen showing you the current pressure that you’re using.

If you are buying a pressure washer primarily for car washing and cleaning, then there are a few things to look at when purchasing. For example, if you were looking at getting the K5 Pressure washer, there is no difference in performance whether you go for the home, premium or compact. They all have a 2100-watt motor, giving 145 bar pressure. They all come with an 8m hose and have a flow rate of 500 litres per minute. So the internal power and pressure are the same, whichever model you choose. There is an LED-Display on the trigger gun that allows you to comfortably monitor the different power settings (from soft to hard). Karcher Smart Control The length of the pressure hose is important here. The longer, the better. For example, with a 4-metre hose, to clean a Volvo XC 60 (mid-size SUV) you will have to move the unit 2-3 times.

These are the smaller and lighter models. They are easy to transport and store, and they are cheaper than the premium/power control models. Home-KitThe Premium Smart Control versions connect via BlueTooth to an app to assist you with choosing the right setting. The fact that this machine has a suction hose helps too. It means that you can use your pressure washer pretty much anywhere that you can transport water to since you’re not limited to only using a tap. The Power Control models come with 2 nozzles (dirt blaster and vario) whereas the Premium Smart Control models have a single multi-jet nozzle with different settings. The compact models are also cheaper than the ful control versions too, so if you don’t think you will use the detergent bottle feature and don’t need the full control lance, then you can save some money with the compact version which is also smaller and lighter too. This Karcher product has a full three year Karcher Domestic use warranty. The warranty covers the machine for faulty or defective parts during the three year warranty period. This does not cover wear and tear and any consumable parts such as filters, brushes, high pressure hoses, trigger guns, lances, accessories or the result of commercial or industrial use that will result in the warranty being void and invalid. All car and home models come with extra equipment for cleaning your car (Rotating washing brush, foam jet, car shampoo) and cleaning your home (home-kit). Devices with the car kit only are not available. Differences between Karcher Compact and Full Control (Power Control)This system performs beautifully. It’s much easier than using a separate detergent bottle, and you can also adjust the ratio at which the machine mixes the shampoo with water, meaning that you can decide how soapy or watery you want the detergent to be. On the plus side, this pressure washer’s weight helps to keep it steady while it’s in use. There was no danger of it toppling over, even if the hose was accidentally tugged on. That said, the hose is long enough that you can easily work your way around a car without having to yank on the main unit, and the fact that the hose didn’t kink or coil was a big bonus. The quality often leaves a lot to be desired, especially the many plastic parts are prone to needing repair. In addition, water often leaks out. Conversely, this also means that every tenth buyer of a Kärcher high-pressure cleaner was dissatisfied. For some it was because the unit did not live up to expectations, for others because it soon broke down or lost water, the performance was too weak or was generally perceived as being of inferior quality.
