Mique undoubtedly accomplished what he set out to do with this novella—he crafted a harrowing tale of a mother’s and child’s interactions with a monster who will stop at nothing to destroy their lives. FYI: I’m a freak so of course I went in blind and loved every fucked up minute but I’d suggest checking triggers before you read. Broken Dolls was a fresh, riveting read that left me a little breathless - and a lot excited about the rest of the series.
