Description

Godox TT350F supports High Speed Sync up to 1/8000s as well as full FEC, front and rear curtain sync, and a guide number of 36 (ISO 100). Also it has excellent heat dissipation technology to help prevent any issues with overheating. The Godox TT350F comes in at only 0.75 pounds of total weight making it pretty light considering how cheap it is as well as how robust it is. On top of this, the flash unit is only 6.6 x 3.5 x 2.7 inches making it very small considering the massive amount of featured available, as well as its excellent performance too. This allows you to add it to your bag of camera accessories without having to take up much space making your life easier. Godox TT685F (TTL, HSS and wireless remote): This well-designed flash unit is on par with the best from the likes of Canon and Nikon. It takes 4 AA batteries and is a direct competitor to the Fujifilm EF-500. The TT685F is compatible with the complete Godox 2.4GHz system that includes the fabulous AD-200 and AD-600 units, among others. Flashes aren’t always the easiest pieces of equipment to use. If you buy this as your first flash, it will take some getting used to. The menu system is really quite terrible so I would highly recommend you familiarize yourself with the actions of all the buttons, and how to navigate the painfully abbreviated menus. I’ve used Godox branded lights for some time so I was at least able to fumble my way through the settings, but still, this is the most unfriendly flash I’ve used in terms of menu navigation. This is partly due to the small screen size and the amount of information displayed on it. It can at times look like a jumbled mess.

As a slave unit, TT350F can be controlled by the following master unit models: X1T-F. Note: When using TTL function, please update it to the newest firmware version. The basic relative position and operation range are as shown in the picture. You can then perform wireless TTL autoflash shooting just by setting the master unit to < TTL>. The flash is controllable from the unit itself, and certain features, like power, are available in the camera menu. Of course, Godox specific functions like groups for the wireless system are only available on the unit itself. LCD I did encounter some issues with the Godox TT350F while using it during a corporate event. There were a few times when the flash wouldn’t trigger for two or three shots. Plenty of time had passed during each shot for the flash to recycle so I’m not entirely sure what was going on to be honest. Granted this has only been when using it remotely, but it’s still unacceptable. In terms of battery life I have managed to squeeze about 250 images out of a set of good quality AA batteries.Press < MODE> Mode Selection Button and three flash modes will display on the LCD panel one by one with each pressing.

With a slow shutter speed, you can create a light train following the subject. The flash fires right before the shutter closes. We used the Godox TT350F with the Fujifilm X-T3, the Flashpoint R2 Pro F TTL for Fujifilm, the 18-55mm f2.8-4, the Fujfilm 55-200mm f3.5-4.8,a and the Fujifilm 56mm f1.2 This describes wireless (multiple shooting) using manual flash. You can shoot with a different flash output setting for each slave unit (firing group). Set all parameters on the master unit. That’s right, the Godox TT350F also has a 2.4 GHz sender/receiver so it can be used to control other Godox flashes equipped with the Godox 2.4GHz X Radio System or it can also be used as a slave. The operational range is 30m and you have access to 3 remote groups with 16 channels each for more complex flash setups. If you’re one of those photographers who is wondering why you’d need a flash like this to have the ability to both be a sender and receiver, the answer is simple. Wedding and event photographers like the flexibility of being able to use it as a walk-around flash as well as switching to a controller of off-camera flashes when necessary say the opening dance at a wedding or a speech at an event.Disturbed by the 2.4G signal in outer environment (e.g. wireless base station, 2.4G wifi router, Bluetooth, etc.) As an on camera flash, it’s not too shabby at all. With a respectable guide number of 36 meters (ISO 100, 105mm), it puts out enough power for light day to day use. As manufacturers use all sorts of different measurements for these guide numbers, let’s pit it against a few other common flashes in a couple of common scenarios. I pulled out my Nissin i40, Nikon SB800, and Godox AD200 for these measurements. For both tests, I metered in a dark room at ISO 100, 1/250 s using a Sekonic light meter. Each flash was set to its widest zoom setting, except the AD200 which has no zoom head. HSS – You won’t be doing any overpowering of the sun, let’s be clear about that. It’s not that the speedlight is bad, it’s the reality of the level of flash power required to overpower the sun.

The Fuji X-Pro 2 is fully compatible with the Godox TT350f including TTL, HSS and rear curtain sync as a stand-alone flash, slave or commander.

Godox TT350F: HSS and TTL for Fuji cameras

I've been waiting for some serious Fujifilm flash support since they entered the mirrorless camera market - still hoping for a X-E2 Kaizen miracle, to be honest. Approx. 0.1-2.2 seconds (eneloop Ni-MH batteries of Panasonic). Red LED indicator will light up when the flash is ready.
