The dial aesthetics are down to your personal preference. Personally, I’d say I prefer that MTS-100L, though not by much, both are very handsome watches. Obviously, that watch also has the sapphire crystal, which will inherently give you better scratch resistance than the mineral found in this watch. However, this watch has a better strap, or bracelet in this case. The case finishing is sharper and better too and the extra water resistance could certainly come in handy if you’re after a do-it all watch. A luminous coating provides long-term illumination in the dark after only a short exposure to light. That ‘Sapphire’ one is more suited to dressy environments, whilst I think this could probably be dressed up or down more easily to suit different occasions. I really like both watches but this is probably my favourite and the smaller sizing option is the clincher for me.

Accuracy - this watch is more accurate than any COSC certified watch I've owned, it keeps -2 seconds every couple of weeks. Das Datum auf der Drei-Uhr-Position fügt sich schön ins Design ein. Within is the Casio Edifice EFV-110D. According to some outlets, this is a women’s or unisex watch, though most retailers do have this listed as a men’s watch. Natürlich ist die Casio keine Alternative zu Luxusuhren renommierter Schweizer Hersteller, wie das manch "Uhrenexperte" hin und wieder darstellt, aber das will die Casio auch gar nicht sein. Zwar enthalten manche Designdetails gewisse Anspielungen auf Uhrenklassiker mit Krönchen oder altgriechischem "O", aber peinlich oder gar wie ein "Fake" wirkt die Casio dabei auf keinen Fall. Ganz im Gegenteil. Am Handgelenk kommt sie wirklich seriös rüber, und hat durchaus einen eigenen Charakter. Casio weiß, wie man preiswerte Uhren baut, und daher würde diese Marke jederzeit gegenüber irgendwelchen in Fernost gesourcten und online gehypten Pseudo-Marken vorziehen, die bei ähnlicher Qualität gerne das dreifache kosten. I stumbled upon a review of the Casio Edifice EFV-110d (the baby brother) by The Slender Wrist and being a fan of the smaller timepiece thought i'd give it a go...well after much excitement ripping open the box, to my dismay was a watch that was just too small for my 7 inch wrists. The combination of sporty looks, thinness, tapering 18mm bracelet and 41mm lug to lug was just didnt look right, and I have happily worn 33mm vintage pieces before.

Wer eine klassische, sportliche Armbanduhr sucht, dafür aber nicht viel Geld ausgeben will, ist mit der Casio Edifice EFV-100 bestens beraten. It’s not just about the looks either. They come kitted with strong water resistance, thanks to the screw-down crown, solid luminescence, and a very comfortably curated case shape. This is pretty much unbeatable if you’re after one watch to do everything. They produce this in two sizes: the ‘unisex’ 35mm EFV-110D, which I reviewed in mid 2020, along with the 40mm ‘men’s’ EFV-100D. They are also produced in three colorways, meaning you can select both the size and color that suits you - marvelous!

I know this is a very subjective review but seriously, after years of agonising over the best Swiss movements, complications, sapphire crystals, solid bracelets, end links and milled clasps, COSC certifications, in house calibres, this has made me realise what is important in a wrist watch, its pulled me out of the rabbit hole of watch obsession:
